Check-in is after 4 pm on your arrival day, with early check-in available depending on the booking schedule. Check-out is at 10 am, with late check-out also possible depending on availability.
From there, the weekend is completely yours.
How you use the space, what you do and when, who you bring in—that's entirely up to you. We provide the property, the amenities, and connections to local vendors we trust. The rest you shape around your own vision.

A couple of things to know
Event liability insurance is required for all bookings. If you're serving alcohol, a Special Occasion Permit is also required in Ontario.
We're happy to guide you through both — just ask when you reach out.

A beautiful focal point that instantly frames your ceremony. Decorative florals and embellishments not included.
Candles
Battery-operated candles in various sizes (up to 12 in a set) — perfect for tables, ceremony, and evening ambiance. Batteries included.

The lodge sleeps up to 16 guests across 13 beds.
Yes — when you book Heron Lodge, the entire property is yours. No other guests, no shared spaces.
Each package includes exclusive use of the property and overnight accommodation. Packages vary in what's added — from ceremony essentials to private chef dining. See our packages section for full details.
Yes. The property accommodates both, and your guests can stay on-site for the full weekend.
Yes. We're happy to connect you with local vendors we trust, but you're welcome to bring your own.
No — the chef experience is available with select packages or as an add-on, but it's not mandatory.
Check-in is after 4pm, with early check-in available depending on the booking schedule. Check-out is at 10am, with late check-out available depending on availability.
Yes — plenty of on-site parking is available for you and your guests.
To maintain the property for all guests, we aren't able to accommodate pets at Heron Lodge.
We ask that guests keep noise levels down between 11pm and 9am out of respect for our neighbours. Guests are welcome to be outside after 11pm — we just ask that loud music and noise stay off.
Yes — WiFi is available throughout the property via satellite connection. It works well for general browsing and communication. For large groups, we recommend keeping heavy streaming or downloads to a minimum for the best experience.
Heron Lodge is fully equipped for a comfortable stay. Amenities include a hot tub, fire pit, BBQ, kayaks, paddle boats, a dock, a 6-seat theatre room, a Bluetooth sound system throughout the house, and a fully equipped kitchen. Linens, towels, and basic toiletries are all provided.
Heron Lodge is located in the Calabogie area of Ontario. Grocery stores, an LCBO, restaurants, and local services are all nearby.
Yes. If you plan to serve alcohol, a Special Occasion Permit is required in advance through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. We're happy to guide you through the process.
Yes — all bookings require event liability insurance. Many of our guests use Duuo for quick and easy coverage.
